Making Translation for OSTC Planner

How to do the translation:
  1. Install the latest OSTC Planner version from the official page:
        http://ostc-planner.net/wp/download
(Mac or PC, as you prefer).
  2. Get the translation kit. It contains translation files fo all languages supported. The latest version is on the distribution directory here:
        TraductionKit_434.zip
  3. Unpack it into the OSTC Planner installation directory: C:\Program Files(x86)\OSTC\OSTC Planner 434\
  4. The Linguist application allows to edit the ostc_planner_XX.ts text file (where XX is "es" for Spanish, "de" for German, "fr" for French and "it" for Italian).
A nice documentation is here: developer.qt.nokia.com
  5. Translate messages from the .ts file. Useful keyboard shortcuts are:
Ctrl-B            Copy the English version into the translation. This a good start when there is special chars (%1, HTML tags, etc.).
Ctrl-J             Jump to the next message to check or translate. Ie. save current translation (if any), but do not mark it as validated.
Ctrl-Enter     Validate the current message, and jump to the next.

Things you should pay attention to:

This is not as difficult as it may sound: For most messages, you have a graphical display of the text under translation. You can also look at various translations used in other languages (directly in OSTC Planner).
--> In case of doubt, let the message not validated yet (or just skip it).

  6. Once you saved and quit, you can try your translation by compiling it, using the command:
            lrelease ostc_planner_XX.ts
(you may first need to delete ostc_planner_XX.qm)
Then switch to the language in OSTC Planner will reload the new translations.
  7. AS SOON AS YOU HAVE SOMETHING, send me the ostc_planner_XX.ts file, so that I will repack a beta installer.
Thanks for helping in OSTC Planner development.
